10th of December - HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nptzg2odTKw&feature=player_embedded#at=49

Did you follow the beat? I did.
Now let's follow the advice at the end of the video and watch more ads about human rights.
But first, ask yourself 'what do I know about this subject?

1.What are human rights?
2.How many human rights are there?

Now go to http://www.youthforhumanrights.org/index.htm

Watch the video 'What are Human Rights?'
Take some notes and check your answers...

Click on the ads!' Scroll down a bit and there you have them. Watch some of them or watch them all. These are well done ads about Everyone's Human Rights.

Now, let's GET ACTIVE (top bar, TAKE ACTION). Click and find out things anyone can do for human rights.

Have you already done any of these things? If you have, well done, let's do more; if you haven't, you can start today!

Why don’t you create something: a drawing, a song, a video, a poem or just some lines, about one of the human rights or the subject of human rights in general.
1, 2, 3 GO! And share it with your peers and teachers. The Future depends on you!

Let's GET UNITED.

Human Rights are «the rights you have simply because your humam».

Before seeing the video at school, I thought there were 35 Human Rights, but there are only 30.

Human Right number one («We are all born free & equal»):
I feel like a bird that have been cut the wings and beating in the darkness against the bars of his cage close. (frase original: «Sinto-me como um pássaro a quem foram cortadas as asas e que bate, na escuridão, contra as grades da sua gaiola estreita.»)
By Anne Frank in «O diário de Anne Frank».

(I don't think the phrase is very well written in English, sorry, teacher.)

I like very much this post too because it's very interesting and a very smart choice for the blog.

bye, see you on wednesday (:
